☁️ Where is this heaven and hell of which you speak? 🔥

According to the zealots, the big goal is to make it into Heaven, while the big fear is you’ll end up in Hell. They both sound interesting, but where are they? Where are these mythical places?

In the beginning, Heaven was in the sky, because it was pretty, full of clouds, and people couldn’t get there. It was so close, yet completely out of reach. That was a good and carrot and stick story to tell. You could see it, but not touch it, tricky and tempting in equal measure.

Then humans took to flight, going higher than the birds, floating amongst the clouds, with no Heaven in sight.

It must be higher then, in space, because that’s above the sky and we can’t get there.

Then humans put together telescopes to peer into the void, took to rocketry, went higher than the clouds, into the stratosphere and beyond. Probes have peered into deep space, in multiple directions, from multiple angles, with no Heaven in sight.

Well, this Hell place must be easier to find since everyone is going there. We might as well check it out, look around, and pick out a good seat. It must be below us, in the fiery pits, amongst all the lava at the center of the Earth. That sounds scary, that must be a suitable locale for Hell.

Now that humans have studied geology, seismology, volcanoes, no Hell has been located beneath the surface. There are plenty of fissures, rock formations, lava flows, and multiple layers of the Earth’s crust though.

Humans have used Sonar, Radar, Lidar, and other ground penetrating technologies to look below the ground, with no Hell discovered. No Atlantis either.

The center of the Earth is a finite place, so what’s beyond that? Where is the next mysterious fiery pit location to investigate?

We have traveled into the sky, even beyond into space, and beyond that again for millions and millions of miles with no sighting of Heaven. No God, no Angels, no Heaven.

We have mapped the globe, charted the oceans, photographed what’s beneath us and photographed every inch above with satellites. No sign of Hell. No Satan, no Demons, no Minions (those google-eyed chaps from the movie don’t count).

We continue to explore, and map this little planet of ours, it’s pretty obvious this heaven and hell thing is a total load of shit.

Are the zealots going to keep pushing the border further and further out like a petulant child? Draw a line in the sand, then re-draw it after someone crosses over?

What’s next, parallel universe? Alternate dimension? Black hole? Wormhole? Alternate reality? Virtual reality? Some as of yet unnamed fiction?
