Taking Movies and Books as Truth
Movies and books based on myths or urban legends are awesome, but it’s getting to the point where people take this for documentaries. They take them at face value; if someone spent the time and money to make a book or movie, it must be real. Authors or filmmakers take massive liberties with the stories, and the result is a distorted version of the truth. It’s about getting book sales or box office receipts, not about telling the truth.
