My path to Satanism – Well, how did we get here?

Before we go much further, let me clarify a few things.

First rule of being a Satanist, there is no such thing as Satan.

Further, there is no devil worship since Satan is not a supernatural entity, but rather a mythical, literary invention. It would also be exchanging one form of submission for another.

There is not now, nor has there been the sacrifice of children. That’s a myth.

There are no spells, curses, or ability to conjure demons or demonic forces, because once again, they don’t exist.

Well, how did we get here?

I’m sure my story is similar to a lot of others.

In my pre-teen years, I had the usual Sunday school, then church services. From the start, I had doubt.

The bible stories didn’t make sense. It was contradictions and events that defied logic. Further, the stories were horrific with men, women and children being put to death. It then culminates with God flooding like a petulant child.

If you sin, you die at God’s hand.

If you don’t believe in the Word, you die at God’s hand.

If you break a commandment, you die at God’s hand.

If God gets bored, you die by his hand.

Even if you don’t sin, like newborn babies, God still kills you as part of his Will.

Basically, you live by the whim of an egotistical, narcissistic bully.

I also noted that the kids most invested in church beliefs were the most mischievous and prone to elitism. They wanted to control people and events and quickly put people into groups. When adults turned their backs, piety went out the window.

After a few years, I gave up. I had no interest in the beliefs or the people.

Then religious fanaticism chased us all down.
