Free Speech isn’t a green light for being racist

People are more and more hateful with their speech, but cry Freedom of Speech, when they’re shut down or get backlash. They don’t realize freedom of speech isn’t a shield for libel, slander, obscenity, sedition, incitement, fighting words, or hate speech, among a slew of others. [1]

Further, “No one is obliged to help any speakers publish their views, and no one is required to listen to, agree with, or acknowledge the speaker or the speaker’s views.” [2]

There is no “regime media” trying to silence you. Yet another Bingo word to throw out there.

No media outlet or social media platform is obligated to help spread your hate, lies, and misinformation. They are well within their rights to kick you off their service for language and conduct they deem inappropriate.

Not publishing your drivel isn’t censorship.

Trump got the boot after thousands of confirmed false claims had to be deleted. People were dying over his lies.

Conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Green defends Alex Jones, claiming Free Speech is dead because he only said words. Lies, defamation, harassment, slander, and misinformation come with a cost. Note the incitement part.

Of course she hasn’t stated Trump’s suit against CNN, “for words,” is frivolous. She’s on board with that one. Difference?

Kanye is all pissed off for getting kicked off Twitter for his anti-Semitic comments. Twitter doesn’t have to publish his hate filled rants, at least not yet. Musk may change that, because he’s a troll, and an idiot, and a troll. Mostly a troll.

You have every right be to say what’s on your mind and prove yourself to be an idiot.

Equally, we have the right to ignore your dumb ass.
