My Path to Satanism – Lazy Atheist

Lazy Atheist

I went back and read parts of the bible. Not only was it a contradiction to itself, but it was guilty of its own satanic acts. The bible has necromancy, blood drinking, flesh eating, child sacrifice, and ultimate destruction through flooding.

It wasn’t for me and I became a very lazy atheist. Religion was a pointless topic of discussion.

That worked, but several disastrous events and encounters really changed my views.

Once I got out into the “real world” I ran into a couple of very manipulative people. “Friends” would take and never give back. I did the work, they took the credit. I set boundaries, they crossed them. Finally, I had an Ex that used guilt and shame at every turn to reshape history and re-image herself as the victim.

They were the very Lavey cliche of, sin all week, go to church on Sunday, then do it all again. Far too many started each sentence with, “Well, as a Christian.”

It took its toll and created a deep resentment over religion.

I’ve seen faith based religions, especially Christians, use their beliefs as a cudgel to manipulate, shame and guilt others.

Despite what they think, “In God We Trust” is a recent addition. And it doesn’t speak for me. Further, where are the teachings from other religions?

Rights are denied because of an outdated book. A book who’s origin is dubious at best, written decades after the events. Not to mention, it’s been edited, revised, censored, rewritten, edited, rewritten again, and voted on by numerous councils. A book that condones slavery and encourages prejudice.

We might as well base our laws on a Grimm fairy tale.

Satanism is a religion, atheism is not. Religion shouldn’t dictate laws, but if it does, I want tenets that I believe in to be part of the discussion.

In this context, religion expressly means faith based or Abrahamic religions where there is a supernatural God. My early understanding and dealings with religion did not include Satanism.
